“We got a puppy!” This has been the exclamation Mike and I have been making since last Saturday when I somehow convinced him to go to a puppy adoption in Broomfield. He was a good sport the entire time, though I probably threw him for a loop when I was filling out an application before he even knew what litter I was looking at–details details.
Kona stole our hearts right away and has been a wonderful, and tiring, addition to our family. He is a lab/border collie mix with has tons of energy. However, when it is time to sleep, watch out! He finds his bed and is dead to the world.
Kona is extremely smart so we are looking forward to really working with him so that he is a well-behaved little guy. Our entire routine now revolves around middle of the night bathroom outings, morning walks and mid-day check-ins to ensure our place isn’t being destroyed. I love it!!
