Bad Blogger!

I am a BAD blogger. For some reason I rarely make the time to update this blog even though I really enjoy the process and admire the wit and honesty people like Kelly (who urged me to start a blog) bring to their updates on a near daily basis.

I won’t bore you with a full update of what’s happened since the “We Got a Puppy” post…but can I blame him for taking away all my attention from anything other than puppy proofing and potty breaks? Kona is doing awesome and for anyone who hasn’t seen him lately, part mini pony. At just over four months he’s 40 lbs and growing every day. The picture below is already a few weeks old!

Aside from Kona my after-hours life has been consumed by flowers, cakes and music…that’s right, we’re in wedding planning central over here. Here’s the low down so far:

Date: Sunday, May 29, 2011 (Memorial Day weekend)
Location: St. Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder
Flowers: Plum Sage
Dress: It’s a surprise!!
Bridesmaid dresses: Navy – that’s all I’m sayin’
Music: Getting very close…
Photographer: Almost there…

I am so grateful to my mom who has been an ANGEL and is solely responsible for getting 99.9% of this planned so far. She’s been amazing and even in the “stressful” times helps us keep it really really fun. Thanks, mom!

Finally, I’m rounding out birthday week by taking today off! This weekend we’re spending time with friends in Breckenridge…it should be super relaxing and fun.

Till next time. :)

    Hi,
I don't know you, but I was doing a search on border collie/lab mix puppies and saw yours. Our 16 year old bc/l mix dog was euthanized a few days ago. He was the perfect family dog, and I am looking for another of the same mix.

I hope your family is at least half as happy with your dog as we were with ours. Our lives were blessed enormously. Best wishes.

  2. Thank you for your comment – I am very sorry about your dog and hope you find another pup that brings you the same about of joy. Kona is wonderful – we love him and feel so lucky to have him in our lives.
