Sorry for the icky blog design…I just converted to WordPress and am waiting for my new design to be done. Thanks for your patience!
I want to start an online petition. A petition to bring the Drybar to Colorado, or specifically to Denver if I may be so bold. Why should Drybar open a new location in the Mile High city?
Let me explain…
- The extra-dry weather and air (we literally have no humidity) will keep Drybar blowouts looking fabulous for days, much longer than on the coasts.
- Denver is on the verge of being amazing for much more than access to world class ski slopes, yummy Boulder granola and the same amount of sunshine as San Diego. H&M is on the way, and the restaurant scene is exploding with cutting-edge chefs and boundary-pushing concepts. Don’t believe me? Just ask the New York Times.
- We just got Ikea too, so there.
- College students and young professionals typically have discretionary incomes for items like blowout memberships (and it is so much better for you than tanning), and with multiple colleges and a bustling downtown area, there are plenty of us who would skip a few Starbucks lattes for weekly or bimonthly visits to a Drybar salon
I hope my Denver/Colorado readers will agree, and I welcome any and all comments and ideas for how else to make the Drybar take notice of us curly haired gals in the “5,280″ city.
P.S. If you haven’t experienced the Drybar yet, I highly suggest booking a trip to the nearest city with a location and booking the blowout that includes a 10 minute scalp massage. Be sure to sip one (or two) mimosas while you get pampered as well. They are included!
Who is with me?

This is an idea I could get behind! Especially the part about the scalp massage. That’s almost my favorite part of getting my hair done (excepting, of course, for the mini makeover of a haircut, which I love.)
We have ridiculous humidity here but I am sold on the Drybar Idea!! Hell I would be happy with a decent hairdresser here, one who doesn’t scalp me every time I visit and charge me for the pleasure!! Also I hope your new blog design won’t make me do maths every time I want to comment?! ;D
