Shoe Crush: BCBG Nude and Gold Wedge

I haven’t shopped at BCBG in at least a year. On Saturday I asked my best friend to tag along as I hunted for a dress to wear to a Santa Barbara wedding in two weeks. Yes mom, I should have started shopping months ago!

I was a little nervous when, after the fifth store, nothing caught my eye (or if it did, it would have emptied my checkbook). When my BFF suggested I try BCBG, I was hesitant and made excuses. It just seems too young these days. I no longer want dresses that tight or sparkly (unless Vegas is my destination of course). She insisted and low and behold, I actually found a long evening dress that I am really excited about. It isn’t shown online so you’ll just have to wait for pictures…think long, bright yet plain and a sexy back.

Until the reveal, I’ll share that I am crushing on these shoes to match. They would dress the look down a bit, and be more comfortable for a night on the dance floor than regular heels. But alas, they are as much as the dress itself so I left them in the store and will wear a pair I already own.

Aren’t I so responsible?!

I love the height and the hint of gold–classy and sassy. I’ll be stalking these shoes over the next few weeks as I have another wedding to wear the dress to and am hopeful these could go on sale by then!

And if another $200 happened to land in my wallet, I’d top off the look with a bag that was anything but “matchy tatchy” to the ensemble.

I wouldn’t say you should have started “months” ago but maybe 6 weeks ago would have been a good idea…but as they say..all is well that ends well!!.

    Excited to see the dress!
