Mike and I are off to Virginia and Washington D.C. for a short vacation to visit his family and spend some time being total tourists. I am so excited!
In 8th grade I went to D.C. on a school trip but I barely remember it and know I’ll appreciate the museums and monuments even more now. Let’s face it, a lot of the trip in 8th grade was spent obsessing over our latest crushes, wondering if they noticed us at all.

Double decker bus tour (at night and in the day) are a must-have! You can see so much and get some great pictures and get a history lesson and sit down for a little bit!
Smithsonian, of course. The air and space museum was awesome. So was the natural history portion. We didn’t do the holocaust museum because I was pregnant and emotional when we went, but I have heard it is life-changing. The train station is awesome.
