Friday Five: New Blog Loves

I haven’t participated in a Living Like the Kings Friday Five link-up in ages. They are always fun to read and I love Kat’s topics each week. So I decided to get back in the swing and share with you, my five newest obsessions in my personal blogroll.

With Style and Grace ~ Digging her mix of cooking, lifestyle and fashion posts.

Plush Palate ~ “Champagne taste for style,” is part of her tag line. Need I say more?

Sacramento Street ~ This blog is listed on countless blogrolls but for some reason she just made it into mine. It is graceful, pure and simple.

The Neo-Traditionalist ~ Pretty sure that Katie crawled into my mind before publishing certain posts and borrowed images that I dream about nightly.

and last but not least…

Decor8 ~ If I could hire someone to decorate our house, wrap my Christmas gifts, and help me be brave enough for wallpaper, Holly might just be my gal.

As my friend Carissa says, it is easy and oh-so-addicting to fall down the “rabbit hole” when exploring the blog world. My entire focus is starting to shift towards home decor, design and organization since we are literally DAYS away from learning if “the” house is going to be “our” house.

Weekly Blog Love ~ Oct. 23

I’m not sure what it is about fall, but the blogs I adore have gotten even more lovely thanks to cozy ensembles and hearty recipes. All week I found myself reaching for my wallet (but exercised restraint) and adding to my grocery list after being inspired by so many great posts.

A few I suggest that you absolutely not miss are…

Getting “trashy” with an adorable Halloween Trash gluten free trail mix style recipe
Wedding Wednesday “Magic Moments” is an Apartment34 post that made me smile and think back to our wedding day earlier this year. I took solo photos in front of a full length mirror and they are some of my absolute favorite from the day
The Culinary Couple recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy to their family and I’ve been hanging on every word and picture of his birth story. He is precious and I can’t wait to watch how their blog evolves with a little one to cook for at home
Sequins & Stripes treats herself to “A Few Purchases for Europe” and I am obsessing over her Melissa Logo Frye Boots
I rarely ever buy flowers for a table but Camille Styles has me itching to create a vegetable inspired centerpiece using bright cabbages, brussel sprouts and onions. I love how different and unexpected it feels
Try saying chicken sausage enchilada spaghetti squash ten times fast. I can’t, but I sure want to try Running to the Kitchen’s recipe for it ASAP regardless

Weekly Favorites from Blog Land ~ Oct. 2

I stayed up way too late every night this week reading blogs. Perhaps it is the call of fall and the beautiful fashion and beloved comfort food it brings, but my favorite bloggers were on a roll this week with some wonderfully inspiring posts.

A few that you must not miss include…

I found Sequins and Stripes for the first time on Thursday evening and knew I had stumbled upon a great site. Her Inspired post did just that.
I also found Hip Hip Gin Gin (via Apartment 34) and love her October gift guides for “her” and “him” So clever. I wish it was my birthday month again!
Pancakes that sparkle by Breakfast at Toast. Enough said.
Cupcakes & Cashmere featured a brilliant video integration entitled Entertaining with Juicy Couture. She is so stylish and her slate board cheese display is genius.
DIY pallet furniture was a major blogosphere trend this summer, but Eat. Live. Shop featured some of my favorite ideas and photos to date of this rustic, yet oh-so-chic look.
Domestic Fashionista makes lace-inspired pumpkins look easy, breezy and lovely. I am not sure mine would ever turn out this nice, but I do love the sentiment.
